Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) gets Android 5.1 Lollipop update

Motorola has started rolling out Android 5.1 Lollipop update to its latest entry-level smartphone, the Moto E (2nd Gen). Launched in February this year, the Moto E (2nd Gen) is the company's cheapest device, and so, its design is not so impressive. It runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, and now, Motorola wants users of the device to get a taste of Google's latest Android build.

The Android 5.1 Lollipop update started rolling out in the U.S today, and unfortunately, only the LTE version is getting it. Users of the 3G model of the device have to wait awhile to get it though. If you're looking for an up-to-date yet budget friendly smartphone, the Moto E (2nd Gen) is the device for you. It cost just $149.99, unlocked, with LTE support, and as you already know, runs Google's latest Android build.

There are no words on when the update will come to other regions at the time of writing.
