Asus Zenfone 2 lands in the US and Canada on May 19

Today at a special event in New York, Asus announced that its flagship Android handset, the Zenfone 2, which was first unveiled at CES back in January will land in the US and Canada tomorrow. The device will be available for pre-order through many stores in the US and Canada, including B&H, Newegg and Amazon.

Specs wise, the Zenfone 2 has both a high-end version and a mid-range version. The high-end version offers a 5.5-inch 1080p LCD display, 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens, Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. It will be priced at $299, while the mid-range version offers the same 5.5-inch 1080p LCD display, 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture lens, but with a weaker Intel Atom Z3560 processor clocked at 1.8GHz, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage. It will cost just $199. Both versions will run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
