Huawei unveils the MediaPad M2, an 8-inch Android tablet

Huawei has unveiled its flagship Android tablet, the MediaPad M2. The tablet will first be available in France this month before making it to other countries around the globe in June. It will be priced at the equivalent of $391.

The MediaPad M2 features an 8-inch display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920. Instead of the popular Snapdragon 810 CPU, Huawei used its in-house 64-bit octa-core 2GHz Kirin 930 CPU in the device. The device also features 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel front camera, LTE support and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. A 4,800mAh battery sits inside its 7.8mm thick silver body.
