Samsung's latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, should get the Android 5.1 Lollipop update as early as next month, according to the latest software update schedule on the official website of Canadian carrier Rogers. However, the website also makes it clear that the release dates are subject to change.
The update is expected bring along features of Lollipop that are not present in both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge, like Guest mode, Kids mode and support for Google's camera2 API, which will enable users take RAW photos. Although these features have been available in stock Android devices since the day Lollipop was released, Samsung didn't include them in its latest smartphones.
