Sharp unveils the Aquos Pad SH-05G, the world's second tablet to use the Snapdragon 810 SoC

In addition to announcing the Aquos ZETA SH-03G handset, the device that comes with a unique slow motion video recording feature, Sharp unveiled an Android tablet dubbed Aquos Pad SH-05G, which happens to be the world's second Android tablet equipped with Qualcomm's latest SoC offering, the Snapdragon 810.

Design wise, Sharp's newly found talent of trimming the upper bezel of its handset display found its way to the Aquos Pad SH-05G, making it look like the bigger brother to the aforementioned Aquos ZETA SH-03G handset. Other specs of the tablet includes a 7-inch IGZO display with a resolution of 1200 x 1920p, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel front camera. A 3,900mAh battery powers the tablet. Software wise, it runs Android 5.0 Lollipop.

The Aquos Pad SH-O5G will be released mid-June in Japan through local carrier Docomo, and as of now, no pricing info has been released by Sharp. Moreso, there are no words on the international release date of the tablet yet.
