OPPO, a well known Chinese handset maker, has appointed Mark Wang to replace Tom Lu as its new CEO in India. Lu has been the company's Indian CEO from the beginning of its entry into the country in 2014.
According to OPPO, Lu was key to its expansion in the Indian market and has moved on to a bigger role in the globally market. Mike, on the other hand, has been with the company since 2005. He has also held a couple of leadership positions in company ever since.
Now OPPO's Indian CEO, Mike is expected to build up a strong marketing strategy for the company in the country in order to achieve the company's goal to become a leader in the Indian market.
In terms of sales, OPPO claims that it has sold up to 400,000 units in the country and is aiming for 1.5 million unit this year. More so, with Mike as its new CEO, OPPO is planning to increase its service centers throughout the country from 120-200 service centres before this year runs out.
